Water reducing Admixturesare special chemical products added to aconcretemixture

before it is poured.

It usually exist in liquid state or powder-like.

High-range water-reducing admixturescan reduce water content by at least 8% and as much as 15%.

They tend to be stable over a wider range of temperatures and tend to give more consistent setting times.

These reducers work most effectively in mixes designed to have a slump in the range of 4 to 5 inches.

Particularly useful in hot weather concreting by counteracting the accelerating effect of high ambient

and concrete temperatures.

Water reducing Admixturescan be used in three ways:

1. For a given workability, they can reduce the water demand, thus resulting in higher

strength and durability.

2. For a given w/c and strength, they can increase the workability.

3. For a given w/c, strength and workability, the quantity of cement can be reduced.

There are two different ways of packing according to its type.

A.Plastic drum(for Water reducing Admixture in liquid): 200kg/drum or 1000kg/drum

B.Bags(for Water reducing Admixture in powder-like): 25kg/bag
