Curved Toughened Glass

Curved toughened glass is produced by heating to a softening point in a specific mold and equipment. The glass is rapidly cooled with jets of cold air. Toughened glass can form compressive stress on the surface and tensile stress in the center, in that way it improves effectively the resistance against bending and strikes and its strength is four times of the normal glass.

Features

1. Safety: if breakage occurs the glass breaks up into small, cubical fragments, which are not threatening to human.

2. 4-5 times stronger than annealed glass of the same thickness.

3. Stronger resistance to thermal breakage than annealed or heat strengthened glass
