Operating with a privately-owned company, Nantong Sino Composites Co., Ltd. is situated in the port city of Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China and neighbored to Shanghai. We have a land area of about 20,000 square meters, of which about 1,000 are covered. The company presently employs about 100 persons.

We manufacture molded, pultruded and phenolic fiberglass grating and fiberglass pultruded structural profiles for industrial, commercial and recreational uses. We are ISO9001 certified; all relevant production works are strictly operating under the Quality Control System, our products up-to-grade rate reaches 99.9%.

The FRP Pultruded Profiles used as Column Shaft

During the pultrusion process, the raw materials are pulled through a heated steel forming die using a continuous pulling device. When the reinforcements are saturated with the resin mixture in the resin bath and the wetted reinforcement package is wrapped in a surfacing veil. The completed package then goes into a performer that roughly forms the package into the appropriate shape to enter the heated die for curing. The die is the exact shape of the final part desired. Upon exiting the die, the part is over 90% cured and solid. The length of the part required is pulled through the cutoff saw and the process is complete.

Fiberglass Columnsare architecturally proportioned columns manufactured from Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastics (FRP) - the most advanced construction material in the world. With the good properties, our columns have become the first FRP column to achieve the distinction of passing an industry test (ASTME, 84-01) that measures the flame spread and smoke development of building components in a fire.

The FRP Columns are stronger than concrete columns, steel columns, stone columns, wood columns, or aluminum columns. With the look and feel of natural stone, the columns are the most popular column for both interior columns and exterior columns. Meanwhile the columns offer exceptionally low maintenance, the look-and-feel of natural stone, and a range of applications unequalled by conventional wood columns.

They are non-porous, waterproof, and impervious to termite and carpenter ant attack as well as staining and decaying fungi. High-humidity environments that are so hard on wood columns have no effect on these columns; they are rot-proof because they absorb virtually no moisture. In fact, temperature extremes and thermal cycling have very little effect on the columns.
