They are composed of glass raw materials, including silica sand, dolomite, and limestone. The raw materials are mixed thoroughly in a mixing tank, fed by conveyor into an electric furnace at a temperature in excess of 1,400°C, and fused into a glass employing the high-speed centrifugal method.

High-speed centrifugation blows the molten glass into a wool of glass fibers. Aluminum foil, fiberglass fabric, unwoven textiles, PVC cloth, or a glass fiber mat can be affixed to the surface of the glass wool.

Glass wool possesses outstanding thermal and sound insulating properties. It is commonly used as an insulator when it is desired to retain heat or cold.

• Glass wool rolls: Light weight, high flexibility, and excellent softness. Suitable for use as an insulating material on flat or slanting roofs built using corrugated steel, asbestos shingles, aluminum shingles, and composition shingles. Aluminum foil can be affixed to the surface to prevent condensation.

• Glass wool board: Attractive, lightweight, will not fall off, absolutely fireproof, highly moisture resistant, and highly effective thermal and sound insulation. Can be applied to light steel frame ceilings to create quiet living spaces and an elegant indoor environment.
