The surface treatment of the stainless steel only need to be finished by special satin doing(304 stainless steel is in natural shine,not to be any coated.so no need to worry about the surface dropping or rust,instead,it will be long term clear and nice).

Electroplate chrome of Cu surface is the chemical layer,it will drop off if the electroplate quality is not so good.Some may lose its shining surface and appear the grain,at last,it will be rust.

The manufacture craft is complex,the cost is high,and difficult.

The melting point of the stainless steel is about centigrade 1420,the Cu is about centigrade 900. The stainless steel must be made by precision casting,then do the precision process,the Cu just need to finished by casting.The stainless steel’ hardness and tenacity is triple better than the Cu,the wastage of the machining tool is dozens times than the Cu,the wastage when doing polished finish,stainless steel is many times more than the Cu.So the total cost of stainless steel is a few times more than the Cu.

Maintain

You must update water faucet every 5 years if you use the Cu ones,because the electroplate layer starts to be old and drop,can the lodger bear a rust water faucet?When you update the new water faucet,you can imagine the wastage of the labour power and material resources.When melting and electroplating the Cu,it will produce the toxicity gas and polluted water to pollute the environment.But the stainless steel one can avoid these shortages.The stainless steel only need to update the valve and sealing,and then can be used as if it is new.
