SA811 Sanded Grout for Tile and Stone

Wider joints required sanded grout. This type of ground is comprised of the same things as unsanded grout, with the addition of sand, and is applied the same way. Typically, sanded grout is used in applications with large ceramic tile floors.

Tiling grout is used to fill the spaces between tiles or mosaics, and is often used to secure tile to its base.Grout is joint filler between the tiles that have been laid. It helps keep the tiles from excessive movement and stops water from getting behind the tiles. Sanded Grout is formulated from a blend of high strength portland cement, graded aggregates, polymers and color-fast pigments and provides a grout joint that is dense, hard and durable.Groutis a construction material used to embed rebars in masonry walls, connect sections of pre-cast concrete, fill voids, and seal joints (like those between tiles).

Ceramic tile is commonly used for flooring, showers and countertops. Tiles are installed with mortar, which is basically a type of cement spread on the back of the tile or on the surface you are tiling. After all the tiles are set into the mortar and leveled out, the mortar must harden for at least 24 hours. At this point. grout is applied to fill in all the gaps between the tiles.
